a native dialect or tradition is lost in the world.

IMPACT NFT is a unique SOCIAL-IMPACT driven NFT project, where collectors can access an IMMERSIVE CULTURAL EXPERIENCE, to fund+meet women artisans joining an international institutional alliance that preserves native art in rural South America.

The
PROJECT

We created an IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE, where our COLLECTORS join efforts with ARTISANS, NFT ARTISTS and CURATORS to tokenize native art pieces as Digital Art, with the aim to preserve and promote culture from native communities.

Acquiring an IMPACT NFT Token, collectors fund+train+equip rural artisans and are able to unlock unique content, such as virtual meetup sessions, physical art from GRAN CHACO, and even trips to native territory in an IRL experience.

A NETWORK OF ORGANIZATIONS JOINED FORCES TO CONNECT +5000 NATIVE ARTISTS OF GRAN CHACO TO THE NFT ART MARKET.

Women from GRAN CHACO are
ARTISANS, ARTISTS & GUARDIANS OF CULTURE
JOIN THEM TO CREATE AUTHENTIC NATIVE NFT ART

GRAN CHACO: IMPACT NFT is a project created by CAMINNOS and the transnational alliance NANUM – Connected Women, co-financed by the IDB LAB. CAMINNOS has worked for 7 years in developing innovation projects for rural communities and NANUM has over 20 years of experience strengthening rural communities in the Gran Chaco Americano region. They joined forces with the purpose of connecting 5000 artisans of Gran Chaco to the CryptoArt Market.

The geographical barriers, natural disasters, logistical barriers and social isolation phenomena (COVID-19), causes women in rural communities to struggle selling their native art and to secure a livelihood. Their means to survive are at risk, as well as their community life.

Situations to solve.

The project is focused on overcoming the gender gaps and to empower women by strengthening the capacities to create and promote their native art, with the use of digital technology:

  • Training in blockchain technology to tokenize their cultural expressions and native art, promoting them as NFTs.
  • Providing equipment to the communities to increase the number of native artists accessing the blockchain and NFT market.
  • Preserving and promoting the culture of Gran Chaco at a global scale to open new income sources for the communities in the region.
